In its simplest terms, “improv” means being able to just dance!
If you’re at a wedding or a party and Arabic music comes on, you should be able to dance freely, as opposed to running through the foundation movements or the choreographed routines that you had previously learned in class.
Technically speaking, however, belly dance improv requires a little bit of know-how! Specifically, this class will teach you how to have better musicality, how to spontaneously create movements in response to the music, how to free your body from canned movement patters, and most importantly, how to do it effortlessly and naturally.
This class is ideal for students with prior class experience in Belly Dance Beginner II, Intermediate or higher levels.
