Description
Ballet is essential to the body of a dancer because it provides a solid foundation for all dance and sport movement regardless of style or discipline. Ballet instills the necessary grace, timing, muscle coordination, control, flexibility and strength that every dancer and athlete needs.
This advanced beginner class is a continuation of the fundamentals taught in the beginner-level class. It’s also ideal for students who have danced ballet intensively in their childhood and are looking to pick it up again. Students in this class should have solid knowledge of the five ballet positions and basic ballet vocabulary. The barre exercises will focus on correct placement, memorization of patterning, posture and execution of steps on flat and en releve. Center work will include adagio, pirouettes, traveling turns, and petit and grand allegro.

Black leotard
– BOTTOMS:
OPTIONAL ballet skirt over leotard (any color acceptable)
-FOOTWEAR:
1) Pink tights (to be worn under leotard)
2) Pink ballet slippers
-BOYS
1) White or Black Fitted Shirt (Any sleeve length acceptable)
2) Black Footed or Non Footed Tights
3) Black Ballet Slippers
-HAIR:
Tight and neat high bun (hair should not have to be adjusted in the middle of class)
NO JEWELRY (exception: stud earrings and medical alert jewelry)
